to do list

“What are you doing on your day off?”

For most of the past year, this question was of no concern to me since every day was a day off. Chris, who was also on sabbaticcal, taught me to stretch my errands out to fill the week.

Things are different now. This week, I have two days off (in a row, Woo Hoo!) and I need to get my errands and socializing done in a limited time period.

Have I written about how work is for suckers?

Here’s the “To Do list” (in random order):
  • work out
  • join Golds
  • wash Saki (and clip her claws)
  • balance checkbook
  • make sure we’re contributing equally (first time combining income)
  • pay bills
  • reset all auto pays to new joint account number
  • transfer a little money into my own checking account (I can’t let it go)
  • cancel AOL account, "Good-Bye"
  • purge summer and workout clothing from previous years that I have yet to wear this season
  • plan weekend away before my tickets expire
  • catch up on my blog reading
  • post something
  • eat lunch with April
  • eat lunch with Lloyd
  • see if Sue T wants to go see a movie (something arty)
  • see if Lloyd wants to go see a movie (something stupid)
  • sex with My Honey
  • booty call beautiful Todd (is it a booty call or a nooner if it happens in the afternoon?)
  • watch Life Aquatic with director’s commentary
  • watch Finding Neverland and return it to Blockbuster (technically we own the movie since we’ve had it for over three weeks)
  • return Hitch, which I saw over three weeks ago but still haven’t returned
  • iron shirts for week (very Zen activity)
  • visit JR’s on Friday for drinks
  • visit Secrets on Saturday for drinks and dick
  • visit Lizard on Sunday (not my day off but might as well plan on going) for drinks, dick, and friends
  • try, for the third time, to eat at Tapatini (maybe they won’t have another fucking private party)
  • move crappy Tivo-like machine to bedroom so I won’t be subjected to watching the channel change in the middle of a recorded program (for the last time – if the red light is on, don’t change the channel)
  • pop in work and talk to employee who I recently demoted and see if she if willing to accept the cafe supervisor position that is open (I know this is lame, but it must be done in the middle of my day off)

Really, not so much to do after rereading the above list. I know I won’t get to everything but it’s good to have a plan.

By the by, watching the Today show as I type this, breaking news ... for next season ... the new black is ... black (they didn't say anything about sheer, so I'll keep my sheer black shirt in the back of the closet, it'll survive another purge).
