don our gay apparel
It’s MAL weekend in DC. Think of it as Spring Break for Leather Men from all over the world. There are lots of hot men decked out in fine leather outfits and tight jeans and unfortunately there are even more not-so-hot men also decked out in fine leather outfits and tight jeans.
I saw my friend John at JR’s on Friday night wearing a natty leather jacket and a leather strap around his bicep. It was surprising because I have never seen John wearing leather. He told me was getting into the "spirit of the weekend." I took a closer look around and saw many guys were also looking for religion. Their jackets were shiny, tight, and cropped right at the waist. They must have dug deep in their closets to find that 80’s relic.
I guess it’s like St. Patrick’s Day when everyone wears horrible shades of green for fear of getting pinched. The Leather community should come up with an appropriate penalty for not wearing leather this weekend. For your consideration: maybe a slap on your nuts or a tug on the hair above your ass.
Sundays in DC are a blast and especially so if it is a holiday weekend. Having MAL on MLK weekend was a stroke of genius. The boys will be out in full force tonight and I will join their ranks. I don’t own a black leather jacket but I do have a dark brown suede jacket. Personally, I think it looks and feels much better than leather does but, I won’t wear it because it’s kind of heavy and it’ll end up stinking like an ashtray for weeks.
Tonight I will get into the spirit of MAL by wearing my leather cock strap with metal studs. I bought it over ten years ago and have worn it less than ten times but I’m sure it’ll still fit. Spray a little Windex on it to remove the dust and voila, party time leather man style. I just hope I won’t have to pass through any metal detectors on my way to the bars.
Nation will be pig ... er ... big tonight and The Green Lantern and Eagle will be hopping but I’ll just head to where I always go (Colbalt, JR's, and Lizard.) If Friday was any indication, any bar will pretty much be full of leather men and their admirers. Who knows, maybe someone will see my leather strap afterall.
